A Masterpiece designed by Joe Lee, the course is located on 400 acres of prime hammock land, surrounded by Florida pines, citrus groves, and ranch land. In developing the course, 475,000 cubic yards of earth was moved enabling the rolling fairways and eight lakes, one of them twelve acres in size. The 14th tee is thought to be the highest point in Indian River County.
A frequent host to US. Open Qualifying Tournaments, Bent Pine provides a formidable challenge to even the lowest handicappers. However, with six sets of tees, ranging from 4998 to 7006 yards in length, the course enables players of all skill levels to find a challenging but fair game. Well bunkered "Tif-Eagle" greens are characteristic of the course. Lakes, trees, and the occasional challenging wind add the final touches to this treasure.
